Rehabilitative Care in Ontario (rehabcareontario.ca) is a provincial website that makes it easier for you to find rehabilitative services in your area offered by organizations that are publicly-funded and are provided/supervised by regulated health professionals (health professionals with special training such as physiotherapists, physiatrists (rehab doctors), occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists and others).
You can search for community-based, hospital-based or inpatient rehabilitative care programs and services. You can also search by a specific condition or patient population. The location of programs/services can be viewed on a map and programs/services that you are interested in can be added to a customized “My Services List”, shared with others by email and/or printed.
Some regions/LHINs may have additional information on tools/resources for patients, families and health service providers.
Program/service listings are aligned with the RCA’s Definitions Frameworks for bedded and community-based care.
The Rehabilitative Care Alliance has worked with thehealthline.ca to develop rehabcareontario.ca. Data for the website are integrated from thehealthline.ca database. Updates can be sent in anytime from within the service profiles or see 'Submit Content' menu on regional sites for more information.
Data administrators from thehealthline.ca ensure that program/service listings are reviewed at least once annually and meet inclusion criteria and data standards.
